I buoni vecchi High Grade, ormai sinonimo della scala 1/144 (12∼ cm), sono da sempre i più popolari e venduti delle linee gunpla grazie alla loro facilità di costruzione.
In questa paginetta, con i modelli presentati in rigoroso ordine cronologico, vi presento non solo tutto il rooster di Wing disponibile in questa scala, ma anche lo sviluppo dai kit degli anni '90 ai più recenti HG After Colony.
Nel 2010, in concomitanza col 30° anniversario dalla creazione dei gunpla, la Bandai sforna una nuova linea di kit in scala 1/144, i Real Grade, dedicati e ispirati al Gundam 1/1 che capeggia ad Odaiba. Questi kit coniugano il dettaglio e l'innerframe della linea MG (1/100) con la comoda scala dell'HG (1/144).

Prima che la scala 1/100 (18∼ cm) diventasse sinonimo di Master Grade nel 1999, con l'introduzione di questa nuova linea di kit provvista di innerframe e dettaglio elevato per la gioia dei modellisti più esperti, esistevano anche degli High Grade in questa scala.
Nel 2015 la Bandai annuncia una nuova linea di gunpla in scala 1/100 ma con la particolarità dell'innerframe e alcuni dettagli in metallo; la linea verrà battezzata HiRM ("High Resolution Model").

La linea Perfect Grade (30∼ cm) incarna il meglio del meglio. Fu inaugurata nel 1998, e da allora è sinonimo di qualità assoluta e perfezionismo nella lavorazione-- Ha un unico difetto, il prezzo esorbitante dei kit!
Un'economica alternativa sono i kit in scala 1/60, definita retroattivamente NG (No Grade), in cui appare un innerframe molto semplice abbinato alla qualità di un HG-- Ma di dimensioni molto più ragguardevoli!
